In 1935 Salesville fire was started with one engine, a 1928 model A Ford Pickup with a chemical reaction pump and a 50' 3/4" hard rubber hose. The original fire station was next to Stacy's Bar on Mills Street with a single stall shed and bell tower to summon volunteers firefighters.
